February 19, 2008 - Fire Department Announces 2007 Award Winners at Banquet

Awards Banquet is held to honor those Fire Department members

The Shreveport Fire Department recently handed out their 2007 service awards during their Annual Awards Banquet. The Awards Banquet is held to honor those Fire Department members, service groups, and citizens who went above and beyond in the performance of their regular duties last year. The event was held at Summer Grove Baptist Church with Chaplin Durell Tuberville emceeing the occasion. Fire Chief David Glass presented the awards to the following recipients:

1. Firefighter of the Year – Todd Olague
2. Captain of the Year – Alfred A. Slay
3. District Chief of the Year – Andy Mathews
4. Communications Officer of the Year – Tina Chambers
5. Inspector of the Year – Derrick Harris
6. EVT of the Year 2007 – Keith Thomas
7. EMS Officer of the Year – Patrick Hawthorne
8. EMT of the Year – William Martin Reynolds
9. Paramedic of the Year – Stephen P. Farmer
10. Medical Director’s Award – Damon A. Johnson
11. Fire Chief’s Award – Brian Crawford
12. Aviation Task Force Service Award – David Ebarb
13. Award of Merit – Barbara Sellers
14. Award of Merit – Kerry Foster
15. Team Performance of the Year – Mark Allen and Michael Perser
16. Training Officer of the Year – Charles J. “Skip” Pinkston IV
