June 17, 2008 - Community to Honor Public Servants with Patriotic Celebration

Public Service at Summer Grove Baptist Church

The community of south Shreveport and Summer Grove Baptist Church will hold a “Patriotic Spectacular” honoring those in public service this Sunday. The celebration will feature a multi-media musical extravaganza with sounds, lights, video, music and drama (see attached PDF file for more information). Area choirs will join Danny Wolfe, a renowned trumpeter and vocalist is putting on this salute to the men and women of public service. The event logistics are as follows:

- Where: Summer Grove Baptist Church (Old South Park Mall Building)
- When: Sunday, June 22, 2008
- Time: 6:00 p.m.

During the celebration there will be special tributes to the men and women who have served our country and are presently serving, acknowledging the sacrifices or our military, our state and city officials, and all of those who protect out communities through our local agencies of fire and law enforcement.

If you are a public servant, whether military, fire, police, elected or appointed official, you are cordially invited to attend this event - special seating has been arranged just for you.
