Kevin Brehmer to Be Honored

Councilwoman Joyce Bowman and Fire Chief Brian Crawford to recognize Kevin Brehmer for his unselfish efforts during the Hurricane Ike storm which passed through Shreveport on Saturday, September 13, 2008.

Kevin Brehmer, a local tree surgeon by profession, donated his services to cut up and remove fallen trees which blocked the streets in the Garden Oak community in west Shreveport. Shreveport Fire Department medic units and fire trucks were able to gain access to a patient suffering an emergency medical crisis because of the unselfish acts of Mr. Brehmer.

The recognition will take place at job site located at 6700 Jefferson Paige (Clubhouse) at 11:00 a.m. this morning. Fire Chief Brian Crawford said, “It is a great feeling to be the Fire Chief of community of caring people.”
