October 8, 2008 - Fire Heavily Damages Home There were no injuries from the fire The Shreveport Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 2897 Fifth Street last night around 11:00 PM. Fire crews found heavy fire and smoke coming from the 1-story home upon arrival. The fire was brought under control in 25 minutes but the home received heavy fire damage. The home was not occupied at the time and there was no electricity supplying the home. The home did have natural gas supplied to it. The fire appeared to have started on the back porch. The fire is still under investigation to determine the cause. There were no injuries from the fire. |
