Michael Williams shows gratitude to SFD

Michael Williams, affectionately known by the community as The Steeple Man, wishes to show his gratitude to the men and women of the Shreveport Fire Department for saving his life.

At 4:00 p.m. TODAY, Michael Williams will make a special visit to the Shreveport Fire Departments Central Station to personally thank the men and women who rescued him from his car after a storm ripped through downtown Shreveport on Oct. 29 causing the First United Methodist Church steeple to fall trapping him in his vehicle.

Fire Chief Brian A. Crawford along with fire personnel from B shift, the group recognized for freeing and transporting him to LSUHSC, will be on hand to welcome Michael Williams and members of his family.
