February 27, 2010 - One Transported To Hospital from Morning Fire The home suffered heavy fire and smoke damage The Shreveport Fire Department responded to 621 Terrell Drive in the Cedar Grove neighborhood at 10:59 AM for a reported house fire. The caller reported to 9-1-1 that the living room was on fire. Fire crews arrived on scene at 11:02 AM to find heavy smoke and flames coming from a small wood frame home. The fire was brought under control at 11:13 AM. The home was occupied by one 19-year old male who escaped the fire but complained of smoke inhalation at the scene. He was treated at the scene and transported to Schumpert Medical Center in stable condition. The home suffered heavy fire and smoke damage. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. |
