March 10, 2010 - Early Morning Fire Causes Heavy Damage to a Local Business is North Shreveport

The fire was reported by a concerned citizen at 2:41a.m

Professional Wireline, a local oil field service company that rents equipment to the oil and gas industry, located near downtown Shreveport was the scene of a warehouse building fire that kept more than 20 Shreveport firefighters busy during early morning hours.

The fire was reported by a concerned citizen at 2:41a.m. Shreveport firefighters arrived on scene at 2:47 a.m. to find heavy smoke coming from the roof and openings of the building. After entering the building, firefighters discovered the fire in the office area located in the northeast corner of the business. The flames were under control by 3:02 a.m.

This incident required the use of 4 fire engines, 2 ladder trucks, 1 heavy rescue truck, 1 battalion chief and 1 medic unit. There were no reported injuries. The exact cause of this fire remains under investigation.
