May 16, 2010 - Early Morning House Fire Causes Heavy Damage to Home The fire was brought under control at 6:31 AM The Shreveport Fire Department was dispatched to 1951 Corbitt Street at 6:01 AM for a reported house fire. Fire crews arrived on scene within five minutes and found a single story wood frame home with fire and heavy smoke coming from the back of the home. The fire extended into the attic before it could be extinguished and caused heavy fire and smoke damage to the home. The fire was brought under control at 6:31 AM. The home was occupied by two adults who escaped without injury before the fire department arrived on scene. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. |
