November 7, 2010 - Home Suffers Heavy Fire Damage in MLK Neighborhood

There was no one home at the time of the fire

The SFD responded to 1556 Audrey at 11:18 PM tonight for a reported house fire. Responding Engine Companies arrived on scene at 11:22 PM to find a one story brick home with flames coming from a bedroom window at the back of the home. There was no one home at the time of the fire and the fire crews had to gain access to the home by forcible entry. Crews were able to access the home, extinguish the fire, and search it for any victims. The fire was brought under control at 11:44 PM.
 
There was no one home at the time of the fire; however the home was occupied by three occupants. The home suffered heavy fire and smoke damage. There were no firefighter injuries and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
