November 18, 2010 - Shreveport Fire Department’s Final 2010 Smoke Alarm Campaign targets MLK area
“Take It To The Streets” campaign expects to install up to 300 smoke alarms during its final drive.

“The Department has taken a proactive approach to preventing needless fire deaths and injuries by increasing fire safety awareness through installing FREE smoke alarms in targeted areas”, according to Fire Chief Brian Crawford. “We realize that fire safety education and awareness is a year-round activity.”

Volunteers from Lowe’s Home Improvement Center of Shreveport, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Fire Corps and Signal 51 will be on hand to assist the SFD in the effort to promote fire safety in our community.
