December 16, 2010 - Homes Suffers Heavy Damage in Mid-Day Fire
The Shreveport Fire Department responded to 2514 Murray Street for a reported house fire at 12:21 PM today. Fire crews arrived on scene at 12:25 pm to find a one story wood frame home with flames coming from the garage and the attic space of the home. Fire crews were able to bring the blaze under control at 12:41 PM. There was one person home at the time of the fire along with the homeowner’s pet. Both escaped without injury. The home suffered heavy fire damage to the garage and attic space above it. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
