December 19, 2010 - South Shreveport Home Damaged by Overnight Fire

The home was occupied by three adults and all escaped without injury

The Shreveport Fire Department responded to 3308 Mesa for a reported house fire tonight at 10:06 PM. Fire crews arrived on scene within four minutes to find a one story brick home with smoke coming from the roof of the home. Fire eventually broke through the roof causing heavy fire damage to the attic space. The fire was brought under control at 10:34 PM.
 
The home was occupied by three adults. All escaped without injury prior to fire department arrival. One occupant of the home stated that she heard popping noises and saw smoke coming from an air conditioning vent in the ceiling. The fire was determined to be accidental starting in the fire place enclosure and spreading up to the attic.
