Man arrested for stealing guns from pawn shops
Shreveport Detective Roger Courtney has arrested a Shreveport man on a charge of theft of firearms for allegedly stealing guns from the pawn shop where he worked.
Jerome "Jerry" Sitter, 40, of the 6000 block of Land-O-Trees Drive in Shreveport, was arrested Monday.
According to Courtney, Sitter stole 10 handguns valued at over $3,000 from Discount Jewelry and Loan, located at 2738 Mackey Lane. Sitter then reportedly pawned the guns at four different pawn shops in Shreveport.
All 10 guns have been recovered.
