Detective arrest man for robbery in Alexandria

Shreveport detectives arrested a man wanted by the Alexandria

Police Department for armed robbery.

Joey P. Coleman, 23, was arrested at the Rescue Mission, located in the 2000 block of Texas. He was taken into custody without incident.

Coleman is accused of robbing the Kroger grocery store in Alexandria on Jan. 24. He allegedly pulled a gun on a woman inside the store.

Coleman was booked in Shreveport City Jail on charges of being a fugitive from Alexandria. Meanwhile, Alexandria police are traveling to Shreveport to pick him up.
