(Photos in Media Box)

Police raided a house known for drug sales Wednesday evening, recovering drugs and two truckloads of items that had been traded or sold for drugs.

Gerod Durden, 30, of the 6800 block of Washington Lane and James "Chili" Franklin, 47, of the 3100 block of Drexel Street were arrested about 4 p.m. at Franklin’s home.

Besides the arrests, police seized a quarter kilo of crack and powder cocaine and thousands of dollars worth of merchandise. There was so much stuff that police filled two truckloads of items – merchandise such as baby clothes, DVD players, tools, coins, new and used jewelry and even a 48-inch television.

Detectives will spend the majority of today sorting through the items and cataloguing them as evidence.
