Two arrested for marijuana possession/intent to distribute

Shreveport Police Department’s Mid-Level Investigation Unit executed a search warrant Monday night, arresting two people and seizing thousands of dollars in drugs and drug proceeds.

Antonio D. Evans, 23, of the 900 block of Babylon and Natasha D. Roberts, 21, of the 2600 block of the Murray were arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute Schedule I (marijuana).

Seized at the scene were 5,824 grams of marijuana with a street value of about $58,240, $3,200 in suspected narcotics proceeds, narcotic paraphernalia, a 1995 Buick Road Master and a 1996 Mitsubishi Galant.

The drugs were found at Roberts’ home, and the vehicles are believed to have been purchased with illegal drug proceeds.
