Chief to take valentines to Shriners Hospital

Everybody needs a little love on Valentine’s Day, so Police Chief Jim Roberts will deliver a giant cuddly teddy bear and chocolates to young patients at Shriners Hospital for Children.

At 11 a.m. Thursday (Feb. 14), Roberts and Sgt. Wendell Delaney will greet hospital staff and get a tour of the facility. But his real reason for going is deliver a giant Valentine bear and meet the kids.

The media is welcome to join the Chief in visiting the hospital. The hospital knows to expect you!
