Chief terminates officer

Police Chief Jim Roberts has terminated an officer arrested in Bossier Parish following a fatal accident several months ago.

Officer Erma Ware was terminated Thursday for violation of departmental rules and regulations.

Ware, 41, joined the Shreveport Police Department in November of 1990. She was assigned to patrol.

Because of civil service laws, no other information regarding her termination can been released.
