Police arrest suspect in homeless man beating

Shreveport police have charged a homeless man with the beating of another homeless man on Monday.

Franklin Motley, 37, is charged with aggravated second-degree battery of a man who has now been identified as 45-year-old Jerry Wyatt.

Wyatt is in critical condition at LSU Hospital. He was found beaten at a vacant house near Stoner and Highland about 6:30 p.m. Monday.
