Police arrest purse snatcher

A man who allegedly robbed a woman of her purse in the Kroger parking lot on Youree Drive Wednesday is behind bars.

Jamie Ware, 17, of Shreveport was arrested about 7 p.m. last night – roughly nine hours after he used a screwdriver to rob the woman of her purse, keys and groceries.

Ware is charged with armed robbery. He was captured while driving a red car, which he reportedly was driving without permission.
