Police youth basketball team in the finals

For the third year in a row, the Shreveport Police Department’s youth basketball team is undefeated.

The Shreveport Reds, as they are called, will vie for the city championship on at 10 a.m. Saturday at Southern Hills Metro Park. The team, which is made up of 10-year-old boys, has been playing for the several few years together.

The SPD has a second team made up of 8-year-old boys. They also are in the championships and will play their final game tonight (Monday, March 11) at 6 p.m. at Querbes Park. They also are undefeated.
