Body found in Cross Lake tentatively identified

The man whose body was found floating in Cross Lake off Willow Point Sunday night has been tentatively identified as Peter Joseph Brown, 29, of Shreveport.

Brown reportedly was last seen Saturday. His body was found about 6:30 p.m. Sunday after a resident noticed something floating in the water. A nearby boater went to check it out and discovered the body.

An autopsy will be conducted by the Caddo Parish Coroner’s office to determine cause of death. At this time, it does not look like foul play was involved.
