Man arrested for Felix Faulk murder

Shreveport police have arrested a man on a charge of second-degree murder for the Jan. 31 shooting death of a man in the 1900 block of Murphy Street.
Otis Jenkins, 18, of the 2000 block of Looney Street was arrested early Tuesday on unrelated charges of trespassing and having an outstanding arrest warrant. Subsequent investigation by detectives led them to charge Jenkins with second-degree murder for the death of Felix Faulk Jr.
Faulk was found about 2:15 a.m. Jan. 31 in a vehicle in the 1900 block of Murphy Street near Elder Street. He had a gunshot wound to his torso.
The motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting are still under investigation.
