Boating safety, Cross Lake tour focus of Friday event
As the temperature warms up, residents will soon be pulling out their swimming and fishing gear with plans to head to area lakes.
This year, the Shreveport Police Department wants residents to think twice before they get in the water by following some important boating and swimming tips that will make the water a safer place for residents to enjoy.
A media conference will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at Cross Lake Patrol, located at 2900 Municipal Pier Road, to discuss the rules of the water.
The media will get to see the Shreveport Police Department’s two new 21-foot bay boats and ride Cross Lake for a demonstration on water do’s and don’ts. Please meet us at the pier.
