Shooting leaves youth in serious condition

A 16-year-old Shreveport youth was shot three times while walking in the 900 block of Sprague Street last night.

Mike Johns was taken to LSU Hospital where he was in serious condition early this morning.

At least two black males in an older-model gray two-door car approached Johns and another male who was walking with him. The car was driving at a high rate of speed, when the passenger fired shots from a high-power rifle.

Anyone with information about this shooting is asked to call the detective’s office at 673-6955 or Crime Stoppers at 673-7000.
