Bank teller to receive award for catching suspects

Shreveport Police Chief Jim Roberts and the downtown patrol unit will honor a Regions Bank employee for his expertise in catching criminals who attempt to defraud the bank.

Anthony Broome will receive a Chief’s Appreciation Award on Tuesday morning. On three separate occasions, Broome assisted the downtown unit by advising them of people who were attempting to defraud the bank of funds. His information has resulted in three felony suspects being arrested on forgery charges.

The award will be given at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Regions Bank downtown, located at 400 Travis Street.
