Shreveport police arrest man for manslaughter

Shreveport police have arrested a man on a charge of manslaughter in connection with the shooting death of another man at the Lakeside Grocery in the 2100 block of Laurel.

Jerry Williams, also known as Jerry Johnson, 33, of the 3300 block of Boss Street was arrested following the shooting death of 26-year-old Demarcus Robinson. The incident occurred about 7:15 p.m.

Robinson was shot three times in the abdomen and chest while in the parking lot of the grocery store. He and Williams had been arguing prior to the shooting.

Robinson was transported to LSU Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
