Police investigating safe burglaries

Shreveport police need the public’s help in identify three men believed to be responsible for about six business burglaries in which the store’s safes have been stolen.

The burglaries have been occurring since last weekend (April 13), and the burglars have been targeting stores all over the city.

The suspects are three black males and can be seen on the video forcing their way into convenience stores and stealing or attempting to steal the safes.

Convenience stores including Citgo, Chevron and Fina have been hit.

If anyone has information about these suspects, please call Crime Stoppers at 673-7000. Callers do not have to give their name and can be eligible to receive up to $1,000.

About the video: There are two burglaries on the tape you will pick up. The first was of a Fina Station where the burglars were unsuccessful in their attempt at removing the safes. (This video is pretty good quality for surveillance video). The second burglary is at a Citgo station. This time, the burglars are successful and can be seen quickly removing the safe. (This video is a little grainy, but you get a good shot of one of the suspect’s faces).
