Boy hit while on bicycle dies at hospital

A 12-year-old boy who was hit while riding his bicycle on David Raines Road Sunday night died today at LSU Hospital.

Adrian Jones, 12, of the 3000 block of Anderson in Shreveport suffered fatal injuries when he was hit by a 1988 Chevy Caprice driven by 24-year-old Roger Webb of the 2200 block of Audrey in Shreveport.

The incident occurred about 8:40 p.m. near the intersection of Willie Mays and David Raines. Webb and two others inside the Caprice were not seriously injured.

Webb is charged with DWI first offense, careless operation and driving under suspension.
