Police, DEA investigating prescription drug case

Shreveport Narcotics Agents have teamed up with the DEA and Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office to investigate a case involving a local doctor involved with prescription drugs.

Dr. Christopher Greer was booked into Caddo Correctional Center on Saturday. He is being held – pending federal drug charges.

Greer, who was practicing at a Shreveport hospital, is accused of diverting prescription drugs from their legitimate professional use to an illegal personal use.

Dr. Greer is scheduled to appear at a detention hearing in federal court at 9 a.m. Wednesday.
