A Shreveport man wanted in connection with the death of a Barksdale Air Force Base airman turned himself in to Shreveport detectives today.
Henry Moton, 22, of the 1500 block of Clover Street is charged with first-degree murder for allegedly killing 19-year-old Johnny L. Johnson Jr. of Mississippi.
Three other people already have been arrested and charged with Johnson’s murder. Charged with second-degree murder is 18-year-old Marquita R. Robinson of the 3300 block of Ironwood Street in Shreveport. Charged with first-degree murder is Willie Lee Baker, 21, of the 1400 block of Summers Street in Shreveport and Maveon Jones, 23, of the 1300 block of Louis Street in Shreveport.
Detectives believe Johnson was killed off a trail near Coate’s Bluff Drive. His body was found Thursday morning by bicyclists.
Robbery is believed to be the motive, as the victim’s credit cards and bank cards were used following his death.
Other suspects are still being sought in connection with this case.
