Free child fingerprinting offered Friday, Saturday
Parents who want to make a permanent mark on their child’s life can bring them to United Auto Dodge Friday or Saturday for a free fingerprinting program.
Operation Kidsafe will be in town to take inkless digital fingerprints of a child, as well as the child’s photograph. These items are valuable in case the child is ever reported missing or kidnaped.
More than 3,000 children are reported missing each day in the United States. Most are found within minutes or hours and have happy endings. But time is critical in the recovery of these missing children.
Operation Kidsafe is a free program that uses one of only five digital fingerprinting machines in the nation.
Fingerprinting will be offered at United Auto Dodge, 1330 East Bert Kouns, from 1 to 7 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
Shreveport police officers and volunteers will be on hand to greet children and their parents.
