Police searching for two missing teens

(Photos in Media Box)

Shreveport police are investigating two unrelated cases involving missing 16-year-old girls.

Katherine Ary, 16, of Shreveport has been missing since May 2. Her father last saw her when he dropped her off at Fair Park High School. She called later that day and said she was in Monroe. She hasn’t been heard from since.

Meanwhile, Lari McWhiney, 16, of Shreveport has been missing since May 8. Her mother came home and found that Lari was not there. It is possible she may be living with a 31-year-old adult male.

It is possible that both girls have left Shreveport. It appears the two girls simply ran away from home, but the length of their absence has caused concerns for their safety.

If anyone has information on these two girls, call Detective Patricia Lamotte at 673-7020 or Crime Stoppers at 673-7000.
