Crime Stoppers conference comes to Shreveport
About 50 officials with Crime Stoppers organizations throughout a nine-state region will be in town for a training conference being held downtown.
The Region II Crime Stoppers International Training Conference begins Wednesday afternoon and runs through Friday morning.
The conference will be held at the Holiday Inn downtown and features a number of sessions designed to help Crime Stoppers organizations.
Crime Stoppers is a valuable tool for law enforcement, because it gives citizens an anonymous way to tip off police while providing a reward to them for solid information.
Region II includes the states of Louisiana, Kansas, Missouri, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi and Alabama.
