Twenty-three recruits graduate from police academy

Four months of law enforcement training for 23 recruits completed Friday at a graduation ceremony of the 48^th Basic Training Session.

The graduation ceremony took place at 9 a.m. at the Fire & Police Auditorium, located at the Shreveport Regional Police Academy, 6440 Greenwood Road.

Police Chief Jim Roberts, the keynote speaker, and Mayor Keith Hightower were in attendance. The recruits took the oath of office and receive their badges. The graduates are:

Susan Anderson, Heather Audilett, Erick Ardoin, Kathryn Burchick, Christopher Colvin, Paul Cox, Melissa Crow, Sara Dewitt, and Donald Dreher, Jon Flores, Troy Flores, and Alison Forbis.

Also,Steven Hathorn, Barry Hornsby, James Lorenzen, Stephen Masson, Stephen Parker, Phillip Parker, Christopher Procell, Matthew Reed (class president), James Rose III, Ronald Small, and Jared Woods.

All graduates will work for Shreveport Police Department with the exception of Rose who will work for Vivian Police Department.
