Bicycle rodeo to be held for North Shreveport kids

Two fatal accidents involving children riding bicycles on David Raines Road is prompting the Shreveport Police Department to host a bicycle rodeo for area children.

The bicycle rodeo will be held for children at Linear Middle School, located at 1845 Linear Street, from 7:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The bicycle rodeo will teach children bicycle safety, as well as teach them the rules of the road and the importance of wearing bike helmets.
