Police make rape arrest

Shreveport police arrested a 16-year-old juvenile for the rape of a 9-year-old girl.

The suspect was charged with aggravated rape Monday after an investigation into an incident that occurred on Thursday morning.

The girl was forced into a vacant house in the 600 block of Hyde Park and raped. The suspect was wearing a red shirt, black pants and a ski mask. The suspect also has been charged with burglary for an incident in the 600 block of Meadowdale on June 7.
