Homicide case to be referred to DA’s office
A homicide in North Shreveport Monday will be referred to the district attorney’s office for review.
Shreveport detectives located a suspect in the shooting death of 25-year-old Henry Sherman of Shreveport.
After speaking with the 21-year-old suspect, it appears that he may have acted in self-defense when he shot Sherman twice. The incident occurred about 7:20 p.m. Monday in the 2900 block of Martin Luther King. Sherman was found in a parking lot and was taken to the hospital where he died.
The case will be forwarded to the DA’s office, where prosecutors can determine whether the suspect should be charged with the fatal shooting. At this time, it appears the shooting victim may have been the aggressor.
