Man charged with seven crimes

A 30-year-old Shreveport man who was arrested following a high-speed chase in Natchitoches Parish on June 1 has now been charged with seven crimes in Shreveport.
Detective Tom Oster has charged Daniel W. Young of the 7400 block of Green Leaf Lane with two counts of theft of a purse, two counts of vehicle burglary, two counts of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, and one count of simple robbery.
The crimes occurred between May 10 and May 26 throughout the city.
Young had led several police agencies on chases until he got caught by the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office. At the time of his arrest he was driving a stolen Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder.
He is also wanted for auto thefts in Lafayette and Longview, and for several residential burglaries in Caddo Parish.
