Man arrested for second-degree murder

Shreveport police have arrested a man on a charge of second-degree murder.

Byron Cox, 25, of the 2900 block of Meadow is accused in the fatal shooting of 25-year-old Roderick Williams. Williams was shot and killed on the front porch of a home in the 3900 block of Crosby early Aug. 3. He had a gunshot wound to the head.

A motive for the shooting is under investigation.
