Shreveport police are looking for three or four young black males believed to have been involved in two robbery incidents last night.
The first incident was an attempted robbery at an Exxon station in the 9300 block of Mansfield Road that occurred about 6:30 p.m.
On a video surveillance tape, the men can be seen entering the store two separate times. After purchasing items the first time, they returned to commit the robbery but failed to do so after the clerk became suspicious of their actions.
In the tape, one suspect is wearing a red shirt, two are wearing white shirts and the fourth is wearing a gray shirt. Each of them can be seen checking out the establishment, which had customers in the store at the time.
A short while later, at 7:15 p.m. it is believed the same suspects robbed the Tobacco Unlimited in the 3700 block of Greenwood Road. One of the suspects bought a cigar and looked around. They left the store and then returned a short while later. Besides getting money from the register, they took more than 100 cartons of cigarettes.
The suspects are about 5'8" to 6' tall with thin builds. They look to be in their 20s and are believed to have been driving a dark green full-size extended cab Chevy pickup.
If anyone has information about these suspects, please call Crime Stoppers at 673-7000 or the detective’s office at 673-6955.
