Man charged with felony theft by shoplifting
Shreveport police have charged a man with felony theft by shoplifting for allegedly taking $15,000 worth of assorted video games from Wal-Mart SuperCenter in West Shreveport.
Jason Paramo, 21, of Dallas is charged with principal to theft by shoplifting. His bond for the Shreveport charge is $100,000.
Paramo is currently in the Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Facility after he and four other people were arrested in Minden at a Wal-Mart store there.
The Shreveport shoplifting case occurred at 11:45 p.m. Saturday. All five suspects were arrested in Minden Sunday morning and charged with illegal possession of stolen things after the stolen Shreveport items were recovered. Keys believed to have been used to gain access to the video games were also seized.
An investigation into the shoplifting case is currently underway, and other suspects could be charged.
