Shreveport jailers get certified
Five more Shreveport jailers have become POST certified, bringing the total number of POST certified jailers to nine.
Angela Anderson, Harold Coleman, Joseph McCray, Joe Smith and Clyde Williams all graduated from the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office Regional Training Academy on Dec. 9.
The state certification provides the jailers six weeks of intense training and requires them to retrain annually to stay certified.
The Shreveport Police Department’s goal is to have all jailers POST certified.
Other jailers who have received their POST certification are Inetta Adams, Patricia Ivey, Anthony Lassiter and Conteril Hector.
