Shop with a Cop set for Friday in Shreveport

Members of the Fraternal Order of Police will be treating 15 lucky Shreveport children to a mini Christmas shopping spree Friday evening.

The underprivileged children will get to Shop with a Cop, a program in its first year in Shreveport and Bossier City.

The Shreveport shopping event will take place at 6 p.m. Friday at Wal-Mart on Mansfield Road.

Each child will get to shop with an officer for a coat, pair of shoes and toys.

Fifteen Bossier City children also will get to Shop with a Cop. Their shopping spree will take place at Bossier City’s Wal-Mart at 6 p.m. this evening.
