Adjudicated property meeting set for Thursday

Anyone interested in acquiring adjudicated property will want to attend Shreveport Police Department’s Weed and Seed neighborhood meeting on Thursday, Feb. 27.

The meeting takes place from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Weed and Seed Office, located in the basement of the Highland Center, 520 Olive Street. (Use the entrance on Stephens or Topeka streets).

Staff members of City of Shreveport Property Management will be on hand to provide information relevant to plans for sale of adjudicated properties -- property that has been abandoned or that the city has taken because of delinquent taxes, etc. It is hoped the sale of these properties will go to citizens wanting to revitalize inner-city neighborhoods.

Anyone with questions can call the Area 2 Weed and Seed office at 673-7390, or the Queensborough/Ingleside Weed and Seed office at 673-7357.
