Crash investigation continues

Shreveport police are looking for witnesses or motorists who were on Linwood Avenue at Oakdale when a 10-year-old boy was struck by a car and killed Sunday.

Theresa Jerry, 37, was arrested and charged with vehicular homicide, DWI with child endangerment and no child restraint. The investigation is ongoing with assistance from the District Attorney’s Office.

The incident occurred at 5 p.m. Sunday in the 4600 block of Linwood Avenue when the victim and other boys were crossing the street.

A second vehicle that has not been identified may have been involved in the accident. If anyone has information regarding the accident, it is important that they call Investigator Bill Vincent at 673-7265.
