A man who allegedly busted into a home and got into a shootout with the homeowner died early this morning.
Carlos Cannon, 22, of Shreveport died at the scene after being shot by 24-year-old Quirinius Wilson, also known as Casey Eugene Wilson.
Cannon and at least two other black males forced their way into the home in the 3900 block of Sumner. Wilson and his wife were asleep when the suspects entered the house. However, Wilson armed himself with a rifle and fired shots at the suspects, striking Cannon. Wilson’s wife was also shot, although her injury was a minor graze wound and she was not transported to the hospital.
Two weapons were recovered at the scene, as well as a small amount of marijuana, scales and baggies.
Wilson was charged with possession of Schedule I and Possession of Schedule I with intent to distribute.
