Four charged with burglary thanks to observant officer

Two men seen loading a large screen TV into a Chevy Caprice resulted in the arrests of four people for burglary and the seizure of drugs and money.

An observant police sergeant noticed the television and began following the suspects. They fled from the officer but were apprehended by quick moving patrol officers at an apartment complex in the 3400 block of Mertis.

After receiving consent to search the apartment, a K-9 officer discovered 78 grams of crack cocaine, 17 grams of marijuana and more than $200 cash.

Four people were arrested at the apartment. It is believed the television

was stolen during a burglary in the 3100 block of Stonewall. The suspects and their charges are:

• Terri Leshay Jackson, 27, simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, five city warrants, flight from an officer and resisting an officer.

• Hosea "Hulio" Bright, 24, simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, flight from an officer, resisting an officer, possession of Schedule I.

• Unricka V Johns, 21, accessory after the fact to simple burglary, possession of Schedule II with intent to distribute, possession of Schedule I.

• Colinizio "Ski-Bo" Z. Bell, 24, possession of Schedule II with intent to distribute, possession of Schedule I.
