Shreveport Police have compiled the results of the third customer service survey, and the results are similar to those of the first two surveys.
As in past surveys, about 300 residents who had called for police service in the past were randomly selected. Of those, 64 percent completed the surveys.
When it comes to the level of professionalism of officers, 78.7 percent said they were very satisfied, 16. 5 percent said they were somewhat satisfied, 2 percent were neither satisfied nor dissatisfied, 1.3 percent were somewhat dissatisfied and 1.5 percent were very dissatisfied.
When it comes to the citizens’ overall experience with the department, 76.1 percent said they were very satisfied; 17.5 percent said they were somewhat satisfied; 2.5 percent said they were neither satisfied nor dissatisfied, 1.8 percent said they were somewhat dissatisfied and 2.1 percent said they were very dissatisfied.
As in past surveys, four questions were asked. Results from all four questions showed that more than 75 percent were "very satisfied" with the level of professionalism, courtesy, fairness and overall experience.
"This is the last of three surveys and will comprise a baseline for us to measure our improvement in the future," Chief of Police Mike Campbell said.
The department wishes to thank all citizens who participated in the survey process.
