24 to graduate from Citizens Police Academy

Twenty-four citizens will graduate from the Shreveport Police Department’s Citizens Police Academy tomorrow night, April 20.

The graduation will start at 6 p.m. at the Shreveport Regional Police Academy, 6440 Greenwood Road.

The goals of the Citizens Police Academy are to promote greater interaction between SPD and community members; to educate citizens about the duties and responsibilities of police officers; to provide police with a greater understanding of how citizens perceive officers and their actions; to gain feedback regarding the improvement of police practices and procedures; and to create an enduring bridge of communication between the citizens and the department.

Those graduating are:

Erik Alvarez, Melvin Armstrong, Thomas Davis, Deldrick Douglas,

Willie Douglas III, Justin Dunn, Dana Dunson, Todd Gaston, Paul Glanville, Dianne Greer, Ora Hart, Annette Huddleston, Kristy Johnson, Cecile Llorance, Dekesha Lovelace, Jordan Pulliam, Jean Rice, Rachel Riggins, Kawanis Roque, Alma Wade, Sonya Walker-Dinkins, Virginia Ware, Sharon Wilson and Frances Wolf.
